Tibby Kemp sets new Australian Record for the 2000m
Sunday 30th June INDOOR ROWING TRAINING DAY at ALEX Surf Club.
Due to very ordinary weather the numbers were down but the standard of rowing and the enthusiasm were brilliant.
Eighty year old Tibby Kemp had never rowed 2000m before but after her amazing time for the 1000m and an Australian record at the recent Sunshine Coast Championships, Tibby was encouraged by President Wendy Coghill to try the 2000m.
Tibby rowed 10:24.2 and broke the old Australian record by more than a minute. She is an absolute legend.
